TV Quotes brings the equipment, client prices, internal workbook and vendor purchase order into one workspace. Build the package, review the figures and keep each issued order available when the estimate changes.

The recording uses a clearly labeled training quote. No client records are shown or changed.

Start with the client and scope

Under Build & estimate, open TV Quotes and select New TV quote. Name the quote, then open Client & terms. Enter the client, venue, address, contact, quote expiry and lead time.

Choose an existing CRM deal to fill available client details into empty fields. Information you have already entered stays in place. Check the resulting details and select Save client & terms.

The quote list supports search, stage filtering and My quotes. Use the duplicate action in a quote to start an independent draft from an existing package.

Choose equipment and set prices

Select Add TV. Search the model, filter by size or environment, and compare up to three displays. Product pictures represent the manufacturer’s series; appearance can vary by screen size. Adding a model fills in its description and maintained unit cost.

Set the quantity, then expand the line’s details to assign a location. Add Mount, Accessory, Labor, Shipping or Other lines as needed. Lines can be duplicated, grouped by location or removed with an undo action.

  • Default margin % applies unless a line has its own margin. A typed Unit sell price overrides the margin calculation for that line.
  • Tax selects the lines that receive sales tax. Labor is untaxed by default; set the job’s Sales tax %.
  • PO selects what the vendor supplies. Display equipment is included by default; ANC labor and shipping are excluded by default.

Totals remain at the bottom while you work. Check cost, margin, vendor cost and the client total before exporting.

Reuse a package or paste rows

Open Packages to save the current equipment as a reusable package. A package includes quantities, costs, margins and locations; client and purchase-order details remain with the quote.

Set Number of packages and an optional Apply location, then select Add package. The multiplier applies to each saved quantity. Review the resulting lines and costs for the new job.

Paste from Excel accepts six columns in order: Kind, Model, Description, Location, Qty, Unit cost. Select Validate & add rows, then check the imported lines.

Review the client document and workbook

Open Review & export to inspect the client preview, quantities, scope, terms and total.

  • Internal workbook downloads the Quote, Cost & Margin and Purchase Order sheets. Keep the full workbook internal because it includes costs and margins.
  • Prepare client document creates the proposal. Use Open PDF / Word document to open it and export the client file. After changing the quote, Refresh client document updates the proposal.
  • Preparing a document sets the quote to Prepared. It does not send the document. Mark Sent to client after sharing it.

Issue and revise the purchase order

Open Purchasing and review the vendor, requester, department, delivery address, needed-by information, payment terms and approver. Issue purchase order assigns an order number and retains the equipment and delivery details issued at that point.

Later quote edits do not alter the issued PDF. Issue new PO revision captures the updated order under the same number. Quote history keeps the issued revisions available to download. The workbook’s Purchase Order sheet reflects the issued order; its quote and cost sheets reflect the current estimate.

With a linked deal, the issued PO value and vendor are recorded on that deal with a timeline note. Purchasing shows the update status. If it needs attention, use Retry CRM update after checking the deal link.

Check saving before leaving

Wait for Saved before leaving the quote. If saving fails, the draft remains in the editor and exports wait until saving succeeds. Retry the save or download a recovery copy. If another window has changed the quote, retain your draft and load the latest version before continuing.

Before sending or ordering

  • Client, location, contact and quote terms are correct.
  • Models, quantities, costs and prices match the job.
  • Reused packages and pasted rows have been reviewed.
  • Only vendor-supplied lines are marked PO.
  • The quote is saved and the final documents have been reviewed.
  • The correct CRM deal is linked and its update status has been checked.
