Project Checklists builds a checklist for one job from what that job's scope actually says. Every item is an action, placed in a phase from contract to closeout, tagged with the display it belongs to, and tied to the sentence of the proposal or scope it came from.

The recording uses a clearly labeled training proposal and training scope. No client records are shown or changed.

Build a checklist from a proposal

Under Build & estimate, open Project Checklists. Choose From a proposal and search by client, project or venue. Each result shows what the proposal holds — its displays, responsibility lines, priced sections, scope of work and notes. Pick the proposal and select Build checklist.

The checklist reads the proposal's displays, the priced work under each display, the responsibility matrix, the scope of work and the notes. It takes about a minute; the page updates on its own.

A proposal with none of those recorded says so in the list. Upload its scope document instead.

Read where each item came from

Items are grouped by phase: contract and kickoff, engineering and permits, procurement, site preparation, structure and electrical, installation, control system, testing, and closeout. The phase list on the left jumps to each phase and shows how many items in it are done.

  • From the scope under an item shows the exact sentence it was built from.
  • Owner comes straight from the responsibility matrix wherever the matrix marks who does the work: ANC or the client. Lines the proposal states as ANC's assumptions become items to confirm on site.
  • By others marks anything the scope excludes, so you can confirm who is covering it.
  • Filter by Owner or by Display / area to see one side of the job at a time.

Track the job

Tick items as they are done. The checklist records who ticked each item and when, and progress updates for everyone. Items owned by others are listed but not counted in progress.

Change an owner, edit the wording of an item, or add a step in any phase. Changes save as you go; if someone else saved a moment before you, the checklist shows their version and asks you to make your change again.

Take it with you

  • Excel downloads a working sheet with Done and Owner dropdowns and a live count of items done.
  • PDF is the checklist phase by phase, with a box beside every item.

Build from an uploaded scope

Choose Upload a scope to build from a Word, PDF or text file, or Paste the scope to paste the text. Say who the scope is written for — an installation subcontractor or ANC's client — and select Build checklist. When a scope repeats the same work for several displays, each display gets its own items.

Before you rely on a checklist

  • It was built from the right proposal or the latest scope document.
  • Owners for items not covered by the responsibility matrix have been checked.
  • Items listed as by others have a confirmed owner.
  • Steps the scope does not spell out have been added.
  • Everyone on the job is working from the same checklist.
